I use hot air gun to to soften then peel off , for glue I spread light cutting compound on it let it soak in then rub it off with duster.

Hot air gun the vinyl off then use "meguires quick clay bar" it has worked on mine before it's gets all that sticky resin crap of as well that every arb truck seems to collect

Hot water from the kettle to melt the adhesive then I used petrol to clean any bits left over . I have used this method on both Red and white trucks and the petrol did not damage the paintwork .

I saw them using a wallpaper steam cleaner at a vehicle prep area in an auction once , it seemed to be working really well
