Ey up,

 

I recently took early retirement and fancied getting to know a bit about petrol machinery by buying stuff that was spares or repair. So far I've fixed a Qualcast Classic 43 and a cheapo B&Q petrol mower that had the carburettor on upside down!

 

I bought a chainsaw last week that has the wrong carb on it so Spud is kindly helping me out with that. I've got a non-running Ryobi Strimmer which is next on the list so I'll be looking for more help no doubt.

 

Anyhow, thought I'd pop by and introduce myself.

Hi all, I have recently passed my 'crosscut and felling' although I have used saw's and been around tree surgeons for years, I'm a qualified Greenkeeper by trade but am possibly looking for a change of scenery as I can't see myself cutting grass till the day I die so I joined this wee site of yours to get a better insight into the life of a 'lumberjack' if that's the correct term ?...👍

I was pointed in this direction by a tree surgeon who was working for a friend .I'm the trustee of a 14 acre piece of woodland have been trying to get it straight for the past 2 years but on a losing battle
