If that's 86-year-old Patricia Campbell when she's so upset she "can hardly speak about it" I'd hate to meet her when she's in full flow! It must also be observed that her "successful campaign to save the tree in December 2012" actually wasn't that successful since the tree is now gone.

As for 200 years old, well no comment needed!

I can remember a long time ago when I was a member of a cave rescue team, we had a (rather pointless) competition going amongst ourselves to see who could get the most outrageously wrong facts reported when the press was taking an interest. I wonder if that has happened here.

Terrible reporting but a first class job!

I can honestly say I did not realise they were filming, I climbed it as like I said I felt like it and it did not impede the speed in which the tree was dealt with, if anything with a small tree like that processing on spikes makes less mess and is easier to deal with.

As for Patricia I do feel bad I can understand the emotional attachment to something green on your skyline, I'm also realistic the hospital is in bad shape and will be far more important to the community.

Hopefully we will get the planting as well, and I would like to get Patricia involved and have another Lime planted in her honour.
