Make sure your rope is long enough....

 

When i did mine one of the guys was doing a rescue in a large oak, attached himself to the casualty and then proceeded to lower himself and the casualty to the ground.

 

Ran out of rope about 15ft above the deck! Assessor had to rescue the pair :lol:

 

Was very assuming but they were given another shot both passed fine.

Learn to trust your kit. Especially, learn to trust your anchors/top most point at which rope is. And the rope/s themselves - they may look thin at first but modern rope can take some really impressive dynamic loading.

Take some energy drinks and lots of food, trust your ropes and ensure a good tie in point is achieved - nice and high makes all the difference when branch walking.

 

Above all else - Ask questions to the trainer! Don't be in the dark about something - even if it seems silly.
