Does anyone use easystart or is it still frowned upon

I HAVE IT ON MY GARAGE SHELF SELDOM USED BUT HAD A DEAR OLD FRIEND VISIT AND HE NOTICE MY OLD CAN ON THE SHELF AND SAID OH NO TUT TUT YOU DON USE THAT STUFF DO YOU

 

WELL I DO WHEN ITS NEEDED GOT ME OUT OF LOADS OF FLAT BATTERYS BURNT OUT STARTERS A FEW TIMES WHATS YOUR VIEWS ?? OR HAS ANYONE USED AND ALTERNITIVE

I have a old petter ph1 on a liner bench saw and thats pants to start some days lungs going like bellows etc and just a whiff of the stuff and she,s pop pop popping away but i always try to start it normally first etc till i,am out,a puff lol

 

does anyone know the real reason why its frowned upon to use easystart as i,ve never buggered an engine using the stuff how could it ??

Heard it said that it gums the rings up, hence the addiction

 

But I think the real problem is that where people are to heavy handed, it can cause a combination of hydraulic locking and/or backfiring. Used sparingly should be fine and always spray whilst engine is turning not before cranking
