You can get a free web site through Yola putting British Business on line. Free for a year and quite straight forward. If your not good on Puter then why not have a Facebook Page, that you can update when you want and it won't cost anything but time. I know a few people that have ditched their web site in favour of the Facebook page. Mainly because they send a ping when it's been updated and people can see what your upto.

Does he get more business through a Facebook page rather than his old Web site? I would have thought more people google search than Facebook search. I'll check out yola thanks mate.

I've just done a Web design course. I was advised this site for logos etc. Fiverr - Hire people to do graphics & design projects for $5

Seems a good way to get cheap logos and graphics. I'll be using people off there later in the year when I refresh my sites

That's really cheap. Is their work good and do they supply it in different file formats?

Hi all. I was after some advice on where and how to get a logo designed and also any recommendations for a decent web designer (im not great with pooters im afraid).

Im based in Evesham so someone fairly local would be ideal but not essential. Cheers.

I've got a good logo, and already well established, you just need to go through a little assessment first tho

Joking apart "good luck" and well done for recognising the benefit of having a good shop front. Too often overlooked. :thumbup1:

Thanks. You don't mind if I use yours aswell for a little bit do you?:D

I want to eventually move away from freelance climbing and do more of my own stuff, but I want to do it as properly as possible and a good company image is vital I reckon....to stand out from the crowd.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.....naaaaa

A good company image is indeed very important, as is reputation and 'word-of-mouth' recommendations...very hard to build up initially, and very ease to crash down if you get it wrong.

Joking apart (again) 3rd party accreditations can also help with "standing out from the crowd" and provide an additional marketing opportunity for your new found business.

You're at Evesham, not a million miles away from Stoneleigh Park (Kenilworth) so if you can make it why not come along to the 'ARB Approved Contractor' Prep. Workshop next Wed. 9th April (9.30am), it's FoC and 'no obligation'...just like yer quotes'll be when ya get up'n'runnin.

Cheers..

Paul

PS If you do want to attend it's 'BYO' lunch I'm afraid

Im booked up with work all next week, cheers though Paul.

I have actually been to one of your contractor prep workshops in the past, I went with my old boss just in the build up to his inspection. Was informative. Something I'll look into eventually...fingers crossed.

He probably gets 50/30 at the moment and the other 20% from word of mouth. I did a website through Yola kept if for the year and found didn't need it anymore as most of my work comes through recommendation now. I'm a small one man operation mostly doing garden rescue work more than trees. If I need quality tree work I've made some brilliant contacts through this forum.

If your not sure about Yola give me a pm. It's free for a year then you pay a minimal fee for the following year.
