Heard the following once or twice regarding areas of softwood which had been clear felled.

 

"They've absolutely decimated the place"

 

Well that would be one tree in ten removed then wouldn't it. Argh

 

Only in a Roman historical sense. For the last few hundred years its meaning is what most people use it as.

Well I would like to run this up the flag pole and park it there, I am 150% sure about this....where did the extra 50% come from - in my day 100% was it???

 

And Signage - what the flippin heck is this...it is a SIGN!!!

 

Oh - when did controversy become contra....versy. Even on the BBC...Grrrrrr

That's a favourite of mine, if it was 1 in 10 it would be "they've absolutely decimalised the place " :thumbup: I often drop a wrong word in for comic effect to wind my mate up like " the pheasants are revolting" or something similar.
