Not sure if this is a daft idea, but can you hire someone for a few days to watch and photograph these bandits that watch you, their vehicle and where they go? A private detective perhaps? I don't know how expensive that would be, but at least you would have something to hand the Police.

I guess even a mate who could come out to a few jobs and take a decent camera with him. Maybe if they know they're being watched in return they might back off.

My insurance on paper looks great its just the anxiety of waiting to see what loss adjusters will do .. There is kit I don't have receipts for also that I have brought off friends.

That's cool Martin ,it some how got back to another good friend who I have not spoken to in ages so we had a good natter and the more people that know the better as I'm sure this gear will resurface.

A few more bits to I D the gear . The chipper had LED tail board with a battered rear end and slightly torn mud guard... Will try and confirm the serial number when I speak to orange plant who I brought it from.. Just paid it off last week as well!

The 357xpg had a corner missing off the air box on the right hand side.

The ms 150 had a 9mm hole drilled in the exhaust.

Sorry to hear you got cleaned out. It's happened to me too, so you are not alone. I now approach anyone I see sitting in a motor near my home or where we are working and ask what they are doing, it shows you are aware & being vigilant, if I note I'm being followed I just keep driving, pulling over etc.

My only problem is though mate the guy who owns the lock up is 20 metres away with wife and kids , my thought is I would not be able to forgive myself if they got hurt trying to do the right thing in the event of the alarm going off . these guys who did this have done us before with a load of steroid bulging freaks in broad day light. I'm quite sure they were there this time as I can't see how the tractor was moved.

He seems very pro on me staying there at the minute so I that will be an option in future.
