Climbing Systems

I've noticed how it's quite rare you will find climbers with exactly the same climbing systems, little changes can make one person or the other that much more comfortable with the equipment they use.

Just wandering, what system does everyone else use?

e.g. what harness, whether you use a lockjack or a friction hitch of some sort, what lanyard if used, cambium saver or rope guide?

ascention gear, if used.

Cheers :001_cool:

As you have already said, everyone is different. My setup is:

Komet butterfly harness (which I now hate and want to replace!)

New England tachyon rope

VT friction hitch (roblon 8mm cord and a hitch climber)

Yale wire core flipline with snaphook, controlled with an ISC rope-grab.

Cambium saver

Hello High climb

not putting aspertions on your thread, but I'd imagine this won't attract a huge responses, as many many threads relating to this subject have preceeded, and many members have already exhaustively added their views.

Hopefully I could be wrong, especially as there are some who repeat post just for the fact that they're jolly good eggs anyway.

Have you considered or ever tried the search feature, or trawled back through the earlier threads within the target Forum?

You may have amore positive interaction with threads that are currently active.

Good luck :001_smile:

Btw, my currently prefered climbing systems...........are generally younger and fitter and less lame than myself :001_tongue:
