  1. Yep i did think about it, I posted my own because I am searching this for a assigment at college, have to show my own research.
  2. I've noticed how it's quite rare you will find climbers with exactly the same climbing systems, little changes can make one person or the other that much more comfortable with the equipment they use. Just wandering, what system does everyone else use? e.g. what harness, whether you use a lockjack or a friction hitch of some sort, what lanyard if used, cambium saver or rope guide? ascention gear, if used. Cheers
  3. Wow that is awesome! That is better then the throwline I was gunna get! Thanks flethcer Stewart and thanks Steve for throwing the raffle and putting all the hard work in
  4. dunno how those old boys did it, amazing
  5. I found the Husqy gloves wore out very fast and have way too much padding, also they feel very stiff after getting wet. I know a few chps with the timberland gloves, they seem to liek them, comfy and everything, but annoying padding on the left hand, like you'd get with any gloves. but they do make you look like a ninja
  6. just done mine! christmas has become so materialistic, there is people out there who need the money more than we do.
  7. thanks charlieh! I own a 345e and a mate of mine has the 340e, both are lovely to use, sadly mine came with a auto tensioner, seemed like a good idea at the time, but now I hate it, am going to buy a new side cover. Has anyone here used the 357xp? I have only ever heard good things.
  8. Everyone I know who has used a husky top handle has said it is a waste of space, my boss has one but stopped using it due to the fact it just kep breaking, really what my aim is in this thread is to get a jist of what chainsaw models operators use, not really to find out what brand is the best or most preferred.
  9. Hello all I am currently doing a lvl3 award in arboriculture and have been asked to do a 50 page assigment. I chose to do differences in performance and prices in leading brand chainsaws. It will mostly be covering the 2 main marketers, Stihl and Husqy But i have also chosen to cover the less admired manuafacturers e.g. ryobi, makita and echo. I would be very grateful if everyone could leave a comment on what their fave saw is and reasons why, also what would be handy is putting down the worst saws you've used, and reasons why. any help will be greatly appreciated chappys
