How fit should I be? A lot fitter. I struggle to manage three days a week, around five hours a day. Some weeks I do manage four days, but pay for it. When I was fit, there wasn't a lot I couldn't do, but age has beaten me into submission. I do enough to pay the bills, and am happy with that.

Of course it's not Special Forces but they're are the best of the best of the best. That said we still work in an incredibly physically demanding industry.

Daniel.

Incredibly demanding????

It's only manual work and it's only trees

Totally depends what work you're doing and what speed you work at in my opinion. Im young so i work at full speed and im nackered at the end of each day. And when i have a day off i can barely move.

I'm 19 stone. Run a half marathon in 1.45, do a ten mile time trial in 24 minutes and if something needs moving I generally lift it up.

It's enough.

As much as this thread is interesting - it's also an invite to bragging rights on "who's the man!"

My take:

If you can hack it - you're fit enough.

If you can't, man up - and if it still hurts after a while, look elsewhere for a living.

I say as I find, without the drama.

Hey Easy Lift Guy,

Could you rustle up a device that lifts tired bodies out of bed at 6:30am...?

Ty:biggrin:

Drink plenty of water, Take Two ibuprofen and get your wife to give you a good back rub:thumbup1:. I will leave the balance up to you imagination:001_rolleyes:
