been to do a job today clearing a pop tree had 8 good loads on the movano from 1 tree! they are massive to say the least lol thing is there are 9-10 more to do 6 are flat on the ground and the rest are leaning or damaged. access is not the best to say the least would all need to be ringed up handballed out or winched out and its in a very tangled mess. its mostly over sized very big limbs and butts that the owner is trying to find someone to chip for bio but I think he is rely going to struggle to find someone to do it. now is it worth offering him anything for it? may be offer to clear the site in return for the wood?

We have cut them with a wood mizer to make kindling. They need to be about 6-8 ft long and max 22" across. We dont offer much as haulage normally kills it. Rings are no good. Where is the job roughly. This sort of thing is ideal straight without too many knots.

imo its worth diddley squat! (due to size and access etc)

get paid for the job! do not do it for the logs because your then working, to do more work by shifting the logs, to do more work by splitting and selling the logs! if customer lets you take some timber if you really want to...... if not dont.

good god, does no one think of milling this stuff...

perfectly good for core material or carcasing on interior joinery, even skirting, picture rails, dado rails or stair spindles (if painted) and very good kindling...

why must everyone chuck everything away or burn it.

decent firewood in my opinion by the way.
