The HSE are bonkers i walked into a dealers and paid cash for a 880 with a 4ft bar and they did not ask any questions and i am sure i could do alot more damage with that if i did not know what i was doing i would love a new top handle for carving with as they are so light ,hey i think the HSE are bonkers

As that saw was made and sold before said H.S.E. agreement, it must be unaffected by any later legislation or code of practice.

 

Bit like seatbelts in my LandRover, did not exist when it was made so not needed now.

Your land rover was made before 20 MPH limits but you will still get a fine and points

May be repeating another post but "what about the case where a lad/company feeding a chipper was prosecuted under HSE regs for using a top handled saw for cutting awkward shaped branches etc,? although not in posession of the full facts-maybe someone can clarify this case and explain where the company/individual when wrong ??

That would be using a top handled saw on the ground
