I reckon you have the wrong belts.

 

Like I said, get a set of OE belts. I am not an MTD dealer but do loads of the crappy things. I would love to use non genuine belts, but every time I tried to there has been a problem.

 

Ok genuine belts arrived and I had it back together in about 20mins. Working nice so I even ordered a new blade for it.

The first belts I bought were actually terrible. The shorter one was about 3" shorter than the proper one, hence the reason I couldn't fit both.

Got them from a website called spares 4 mowers. They were the cheapest of the 2 online companies I could find selling them.

Any one have a diagram to change the drive cable on a Viking 448t as got a new cable but can't figure it out as never got to see how it was before the boy broke it (staff who would have them)

I'am thinking of buying one of ebay whats your thoughts please theres one on now with no drive but i,am hoping to poss repair it or should i leave well alone are they a pig ear wrapped in glitter etc ??

Sealing a crankcase oil leak from outside?

 

Oil leaking from where sump meets rest of engine.is there a sealant like dirko?????? That can be applied externally.bit of a non economical performance to split this engine.

Any ideas?

Ive had one for 10 years and its never missed a beat, mine is the 4 wheel version and wouldn't hesitate about getting another if this one ever dies. There has been some comments previously on this forum by others praising them aswell.
