660 or 880?

880 on a 36" bar is around the £1100 mark

 

HI JAMES i no the price 880 and i no the price a 660 has more TQ:thumbup1: then the 461 i run a 461 on a 20 ":thumbup1: it will take 25 " bar yes but i like a 20" bar as it feels better so yes a 660 has a lot more TQ for a 25":thumbup1:/3ft yes and a 880 has more power again:thumbup1: BUT IT NOT A LIGHT SAW:thumbdown: it up to you thanks jon :thumbup:

880 in the tree is a deeply unpleasant experience, one of those 'wish I'd tried harder at school moments'!

I had an 880, we called it nigel after my landlord as it was big numb and didn't work much!

 

Looked good but no one wanted to use it so I sold it and got a second 660.

880 always sounds good to have in the box, but in reality unless you're milling a lot, there's very little in this country a 660 wont handle if set up right.

 

We do a lot of big trees and never needed bigger than a 660, I've a selection of bars and chains running from 20" to3 foot, full comp, ripping and semi skip for hard to reach areas. Immense, flexible, virtually unbreakable saw that you can use every day.
