When they are trying to sell you any fuel card they tell you what the price per litre is, and was last week, and usually sounds a brilliant price as you say saving 4-5p, then when you get the card the price is no where near the mark.

I had one card sounded a good deal when they where getting me to sign up to them once I got the card I never drew any fuel on I because it was 3-5ppl more than my other fuel cards.

Also just check as some cards charge if you don't use them.

Fuel card services? their the ones in Burnley? If they are I`ve got a shell card off them, they seem OK.

They said diesel is 131.9 this week, is this a good price?

Sounds OK, my shell card off them, works out with the vat 131.38, and my Texaco fast fuel card off infuels, 130.83, not had my other prices in yet.

We were offered one recently that guaranteed fuel at the national average and was accepted in motorway services . Thats not a bad deal if you spend all day on the motorways but still not as cheap as the local garages.

we use fuel cards, mostly for convenience. they can be 2 or 3p a litre more but you do get a certain amount of credit plus when it comes down to it 2p a litre is £2 on a weeks fuel of a 100 litres... not much really

My boss stopped us using one of our fuel cards because they were costing us more on the card than the pump price. When he phoned them up they said the price we were paying was the national average, the higher pump price down south meant it worked out cheaper not to use the card and just pay cash. I would read the small print carefully if you get one.

I think I have a fuel card serv one and another with shell. This week its same price as yours 109 + vat = 131 which is very good on the motorways. I like them because I pick the most expensive garages without all the blue rinsers buying buns ( quick fill up ) bp garages always full of shoppers. Its ideal to have 2 cards when they take piss on the price you can use the other for a few weeks till the price comes down. Having bp and shell your never far from a station.

Since my o licence application has been in the paper i have had a few phone calls about fuel cards. apart from the fixed price i cant see any benefits over not using 1! infact the nearest fuel station i can go to with the card is miles out of town :sneaky2:
