I can confirm Steve's work.

My rebuilt and ported 660 with dual port muffler goes like the clappers.

It is a tad loud though ;)

+1 here. I have had a couple of saws 'Spudded' and they are great. Very good work at a reasonable price. :thumbup1:

I don't remember making it whisper on the job description:001_rolleyes::001_tt2: I will fit a bigger muffler next time we meet, perhaps the exhaust off a Toyota Prius:thumbup:

Had the 460 out tonight (another of Steves baies) , it seems to be getting better with use !! , straight up i will use it every time over my ms 661 which hasnt burnt the paint of its bar in a year .

Thats a productivity decision but it helps that it feels so sweet with power in all the right places .

I have sorted out which con-saw i am going to get you to do , its the Stihl one , i must post it to you in the next week or so .

Spud, you interested in a port and sort on a newish echo top handle saw?

It is usually more cost effective to do a muffler mod as many of these saws are clam type and cuts down the amount you can do to them!

I did do one recently and it had a Kat in the muffler. Made quite a difference taking it out!
