Ford Ranger problem

Went out to see a job this morning in my 2007 Ford Ranger and on way back, the motor coughed, revs dropped off then everything cut out. Luckily it was a quiet road. Pulled up, checked hand book as engine warning light was on and it said would drive with reduced power. Limped home during which time it cut out twice.

 

Rang my recovery service and error code P0093 Fuel Leak, Large Fuel Leak came up on diagnostic machine. Cannot see fuel anywhere.

 

Anybody had this problem and what was the cure??

I run a 58 Ranger and some muppet stuck petrol in it about 6 months ago. Got it sorted on the day and was running again but had problems with the fuel leak warning light showing. Diagnostic showed contamintation (no surprise there).

 

Was taking 6 turns to start and not starting when warm, injectors cleaned, still a problem. In the end the fuel line was cleaned and a load of muck came out. Been sweet since.

change the fuel filter, appears to be the cause of a lot of fuel error codes, mine has cut out several times, on the one time we put it on the diagnostics it said it was a fuel injector problem, but a filter change sorted it.
