Stopping smoking II

3 weeks in and I'm off the fags for good!

Thanks for all the tips, but the biggest one is that you really have to want to pack in. If you don't, you are wasting your time.

I wanted to.

And now have an extra £40 a week to spend!

Hurrah! I can pay my staff more!

Well done mark, been 3 years for me and the best thing i have done, i feel so much fitter now but it is still hard sometimes dont drop your guard or you will be back on em. the thing that gets me now is the smell..........cant believe i used to smell like i did, fags stick.......and when someone talks to me after havin a fag makes me want to throw up. think its better for customers aswell, not stood on a door step stinking of fags........

Don't want to turn into a righteous ex-smoker, but when my mates walk in from a fag outside the pub - they stink!

Still like the smell of a freshly lit Marlboro, but have switched my head into 'non-smoker' mode.

I am a lot more productive at work as well. Used to have too many fag breaks!

I packed up last October again for the third time, both times before, I quit for over 5 years, the first time I quit, I stopped completely for 7 years, brother in-law started again after quitting for nearly ten years........

Saying all that , I will never start up again ever, to be honest after the first few weeks, I find giving up pretty easy, I was on 20 a day..

Best of luck Mark, mind over matter mate, mind over matter!
