I can get a throwline into a busy canopy alright, it's getting it to drop down again which is the hard part...

I generally go for ladders on Lombardy if they are proper thick with horrible wee branches.

I often find my climbing line gets caught in the tight forks too.:blushing:

Horrible things really and when you get to fell the stem you find they are rotten to the thickness of a toilet roll:thumbdown:

Ladders, throwline, spikes, MEWP, crane, lifts off BT trucks, stacked up milk crates, pole vault, rocket boots, shoulder rides off giant groundies.

A few of the above can be combined in certain circumstances.

The one I'd really like to see is the ladder balanced on top of the stack of milk crates, then climbed by the giant groundie with you hoisted over his back to lob you into the top of the tree :001_smile:

I've just about seen that, but it was painting a cowl on an oast house, so it doesn't count!

You know what farmers are like!

Personal, ladders to get me to the first branch if I can't reach it from the ground, climbing line and working strop...and get climbing...I think throw lines and big shots are great if your going for SRT but other than that it's just a case of getting your harness on and pulling yourself up the thing matey

This is more like it, I've added a bit for you.
