Triple time christmas last for two weeks this year unless you are religious its a state of mind. If I did not have wife and children I would be cleaning out the workshop. My step daughter is a nurse working xmas day £60 an hour.

I'm working a plant fitter shift on the rail christmas night 6 till 6 well worth not having a drink christmas day I'll just save it for boxing day.

I'd go no problem , my dad would come and drag branched and the boys would get spoilt without the grumpy men in the house.

I love working, my families life revolves around it, it's what pays the bills for the nice things and puts the fancy jeep in the drive.

My wife understands this as do my kids.

I am not restricted by a boss I do what I want when I want for the people that I like.

We treat every day like Christmas in our house anyway and if someone needs my help then I go .

It's not like the old days when it was the only day if the year you got a treat

I had a Boxing Day call out in 2011. That was expensive.

 

Christmas Day call out as others have said would have to be life or death situation. And that would be very expensive.

No one can afford my rates on Christmas, I'd want £1000 per hour simply because then I can carry on getting pissed .
