So how far off are we from the point when people are having trees taken down without having to pay for the arb work. There has to be a point where the logs are going to be worth more than the labour?

I'm happy to trial it if you want have ago. I've got about another 450 to do on the present site, you can take as much as you can carry at the end of the day, after all they're worth more than money these days😂

I'm not trolling. I'm not talking about the big contract jobs, that needs to much skill and kit to be free.!

I'm talking about the farmer that has a tree over hanging. Or a single tree that needs to come down in a big garden. That sort of work must be getting harder to charge for?

I remember firewood merchants taking down trees in fields for the wood at least 15 years ago. Doesn't seem to happen so much these days (good :thumbup:), but if there's enough wood in the tree and access is good then it could be a viable option.
