I have only being in business for around 16 months and getting 2 to 3 days a week at most. So about 10 to 15 hrs a week at most.

It is a ldv convoy i have. takes its time but gets job done.

Its a lot of money to spend on something that is second hand though and wan to make sure i get the right machine.

sick of mashing down though.

is that 10/15 hrs chipping :confused1:

i,m with heads up

there are more timberwolfs in this country than all the other makes put together

i have used loads of chippers of all makes and models and all have there downsides

true 150 timberwolfs are a bit tinny but there under 750kg but very good value

as against a vermeer that weights nearly 50% more so obviosly built a bit stronger

if you look after any chipper it will look after you

Precisely. It's not so much to do with parts that's expensive but the down time fixing. My entec was cheap but easily serviced and fairly well maintained and did a lot of work. Having said that, when it was a bit tired I got a Jensen and I love that. But it's a lot more powerful. It's also a big lump to pull around for small jobs.

My LDV pulls a greenmec220 which weighs 1400kg.:001_smile:........slowly.

BTW I started off with a greenmech 150 like this:

greenmech wood chipper ec150 (6inch) on eBay, also Chippers Shredders Mulchers, Power Tools Equipment, Garden Plants, Home Garden (end time 21-Apr-09 19:56:40 BST)

It was bomb proof, it had a 3cyl diesel aircooled engine and never let me down in three years of hard work. Very good on conifer too.:001_smile:
