Hey

What are the most common components to where out on a chipper any ways to prolong the life of one.

The blokes feeding it. Just can't get the staff.

Pull him out of the pub, get him to bed early, give him a good breakfast. Don't squash him with a tree :D

Should last a bit longer......

If its got a nipple, two or three pumps at once a week - there is a danger that overgreasing can pop seals or even induce overheat. Check rotor bearings for play (often), check paddles for wear (imbalance) check the shear bars (anvils) for wear, ensure safety devices work as they should, check brakes and lights work. Make sure belts are tight and blades sharp, check for chafing wires and other fire hazards.

and also check the towing hitch and the emergency wire is in good condition, toooo many trailers/chippers fall off due to incompetence!
