.... and why?

 

 

I've recently been burning some hawthorn and boy dose it give off some heat.

 

willow also burns well, but has to be really dry, not big flames but just a lovely warm glow! not much ash either.

 

any one else got a favourite or preference?

Standing dead elm and yew I always have for my self, then ash and syc as i can get em dry in a year, or anything with nice straight grain or anything that doesn't need ringing up off the pile.
