only an idjut would be using his saw round the back off his legs & more important you shouldnt be using a saw with defective chain brake:scared1:

 

i think climing big conifer hedges is the riskiest for cutting yourself, i have been in positions with the saw jammed behind my legs, small branches knocking chain break off, and climbing positions you would never be in working in a tree. i used to just wear type a because the allround were hellish and i couldnt move, but since finding stretch airs i dont find it a problem:001_smile:

as soon as a saws chainbrake stops working it should immediately be put out of action, and made clear to any possible users that there is a problem.

 

yes totally agree but they do break at some point or do you all do pre start checks

in fact how many of you even know what they are:001_tongue:

Not at all, I will not sue myself and under the law I don't have the same "duty of care" to myself that I have to an employee.

 

what law is that
