I was working in the village of Long Bennington this morning, which is about half way between Grantham & Newark, & had my treebusta on the verge, i was only 6/7 yards away, but out of sight in a hedge(you know how you do..:001_rolleyes:).

I heard a diesel vehicle approaching & looked up & saw the "scrapman" 2 up in his transit pickup, they did a double take at my kit slowed down, looked for me but did'nt see me. They then went about a 100yds & turned round, there was no need for them to do so, then came back, by this time i'd got to the back of the van & got the pick handle out & stepped out into view, they then drove off, so if you are in the area please be careful.

Cheers for the heads up, I live the other side of Lincoln and there had been several reports to the police of a transit tipper up my street at 3am shining a lamp in peoples drives...I intend to catch them and get their plate this weekend so I too can inform the police in the hopes that they can do something haha

Hundreds of them in Newark where we are based as they have a huge camp there, you can watch scrap vans ride by every couple of minutes. I visited our new premises yesterday in Grantham & low & behold scrap men turned up, there should be a pest control you can put down for these scum.

Hi Dean,

on a lighter note.....

Its all your fault for bringing all this american steel into the UK and then displaying its weight and its maneuverability and encouraging the values!:001_tt2::001_tt2:
