I have a 550xp at the minute, its fantastic for small stuff as its light and powerful. But not so good for the bigger stuff. I'm thinking 372xp or even 395. I'm by no means a small chap. but do you think 395 is overkill.

I had to use my 395 with a 20" bar all day in the woods last year when I blew up two other saws in one day. You'll feel it if you're cutting a lot, and especially snedding. If you're only felling and cutting for a big chipper then fire away. I usually go for the 576, but there are days when the 395 with a 28" tickles my pickle
