In my opinion, banter makes the day go quicker and team gel better.

Suppose in this day and age you have to watch your p's and q's. Are Essex jokes still allowed.?

Nope no Essex jokes infact no jokes at all ever for fear of upsetting someone lol

So how would you feel if you and the rest of your established crew up hauled up in front of the head office fat cats and reprimanded for this banter because the "new boy" is offended by it?

The world has gone crazy . New boy in my opinion needs to get a grip . If he has made a complaint just as he has entered a new work place , more fool him . Its not about bullying . New boy always gets the pee taken out of him , Its standard practice . Its a mans enviroment banter will be banter give it and take it :thumbup1: Oops there I go again . Sorry to the female arbs  Of which I know many and none to my knowledge have complained and get on with the job banter included

It's not just you team players that have to contend with these issues.

I work by myself and the banter often goes beyond acceptable levels. I have tried the storming off in a husty tactic numerous times, but to little effect, aside from a marked slowdown in my productivity!

There is normally two sides to this story. It all goes ok till you find a school leaver who can give it back 10 times quicker and slicker than you can hand it out. You can give it out but can you take it

Hell yeah I'm generally worried if I don't get some kind of abuse during the day it usually means it's leading up to something pretty big lol

Just tell the other guys not to include him in the banter. He's there to work. If he cannot take it don't give it. He will soon feel like a spare part when he see's the rest of you having a laugh then may realise its only a laugh
