My quote had extra counterweight ticked? Hope I’ve actually got it!! Maybe you could post a pic of your arse? I mean, the e27s arse....

This is the heavy counterweight on the E27 @doobin - I know it is as the original one didn’t stick out like this. F2970FD5-6516-4B6C-BCBD-9AEEB8A67726.thumb.jpeg.10d498058984528b23188a44f6eaaf95.jpegED2A1A76-9491-43F8-9355-0FE043ACCD72.thumb.jpeg.1b08cbfedc2035d0c1e0ecc9591b458e.jpeg

my jcb is reduced tailswing, it’s definitely more unstable than my old volvo but then i have got a heavier top hitch plus the integrated gripper as well which adds a bit of weight

my little bobcat is very stable but don’t know if i’d by another bobcat, i can’t quite put my finger on it but i’m not hugely keen on it

Out of pure morbid fascination, and I’m not trying to start a typical Arbtalk slanging match here, but does adding all this counterweight not push the boundaries of what can be towed legally? (Presuming all these are getting towed by Landy, Landcruiser, Shogun etc.) if getting moved about by tractor etc I guess It won’t matter but could see the super tight margins for keeping below 3.5 ton towing weight being eroded away.

My CAT is zero tail swing, it’s what I’ve used for 7 years, wouldn’t have it any other way.i spend more time in narrow places having to turn than I do lifting heavy stuff, plus I drag heavy stuff.

It’s much smoother I find on your toes than having a normal machine juddering, I had a brand new machine out 2 years ago on demo and I parked it up after 1.5 hrs as my back was killing me.

Each to their own, if you can make it work, crack on.

Yup. But it says 27 on the side, so it’s 2.7 tonnes officer.

When I bought my Bobcat I was also looking at Kubotas. I asked the salesman if they Cb oils supply me a 3 tonner badged as a 2.7 for exactly that reason. He refused!

Digger weighs in @ 2700kg with extra counter weight & grab rotator trailer weighs 625kg
