I reckon there’s a lot of that going around. Think you’ve dodged a bullet though personally. As you have no access restrictions, you don’t need expanding tracks with the lower ground clearance that entails, especially with your soft banks. Consider stepping up from 2.4 to 2.7t on a proper excavator X frame.

Things always happen for a reason just really bad for dealer to do it this way. Anyway looking at something else now so will see.

I think I’m swaying towards your suggestion of a thumb with a 6” bucket and some of those teeth. Did you go for the RSL hydraulic thumb? It looks fairly decent to my untrained eye. Thanks for all the advice from everyone emoji106.png

I had the rsl non hydraulic thumb, very sturdy.

I can never decide whether I'd prefer a hydraulic one or not, certainly be better at picking things up but looses a lot of the simplicity benefits

Advice wanted please. I have a TB016 and I’m wondering if it would be up to the job of loading Ash cordwood into a tractor trailer and then onto a processor? The cordwood is probably 8-12” diameter. Firstly do you think the machine would lift that weight and secondly if so, should I go for a bucket and thumb arrangement or bite the bullet and get a grab with rotator? TIA

Your machine is more than up to the job and a thumb grab will work no problem. If its just for loading cordwood onto a trailer no need to go to great expense.
