Hello,

Could I ask you guys a few things.

First one is a bit subjective.

1. Over the course of a year, how much would using Aspen and Veg oil over regular mineral stuff be worth?

Aside from the extra cost to a business (negative point) how can I justify the value of using these products against the value of long and short term health?

Also the positive value of using it machines.

Help me in my argument please, I'm trying to persuade an unbeliever.

2. How much saving is there in making up your own chains taking into account the tools required to do so?

I intend to print off a few (if any) comments keeping them anonymous to present at a meeting.

Thanks in advance

Ty

Chains work out better if all or most of your saws run the same chain type. But thats not realistic for most.

As for aspen if it stops you from dying of petroleum caused diseases. Worth every cent.

However I don't use it because the price is a bigger margin and I don't make enough to justify it. However if you end up throwing away stale fuel and someone destroys a saw not getting the mix right, also time saved mixing. The difference diminishes.

Alot of the viability of these depends on YOUR business set up.

I was going to start making my own chains, but my dealer suggested I get my chains in mixed 10's and he would do me 40% discount.

Works for me.

Sounds good I only get 20% might have to send you a pm when I need some chains :laugh1:
