Its good we did not loose to many trees and hopefully no one got hurt. Its probably good to have a dress rehearsal focuses peoples minds to get prepared.

 

Very good point!! Much rather it got people thinking about having work done than having an emergency where people might be hurt. I've noticed our council tree team buzzing about with brand new quad chip and daf 45/150 with grab.

mentally busy day, got all the tools, chipper etc and took them home and waited for the wind to blow out. We then set up on our job for the day. Lo and behold, a big Horse Chestnut snaps out and sits in a Monterrey cypress 300m down the road..split the team in two and ran both jobs concurrently :biggrin:

got my first call at 7am and didnt get back till 7pm.

 

dirty gert beech down in diptford, across minor road, just cleared the road, fortunately all the brash ended up in a field so that will be next weeks job.

 

then off to dittisham near dartmouth, to an oak down across neighbours drive, so spent rest of the day there.

 

two more calls to do tomorrow. stokenham and salcombe. south devon
