Forgive my ignorance but did you have to climb it once it was braced or managed to fell from ground level ?

No climbing because luckily I have a 14m landrover mewp which made things very easy although I did need to use the pole saw to nibble away a few smaller outer branches to release the pressure on them and let me knock down the stem to the point it was resting against the other tree then lift it slightly on the lowering line and then control it slowly to the ground. This is my landy but not on this job and a wee Vid of stem being lowered.
