Interesting aside, but the convection pipes on our Bullerjan stove seem to act in the same way, distributing the heat far better than our old stove did. Don't know why all stoves don't have them!

What a cool looking stove.

ive a 4kw morso stove on my 62ft narrow boat, got a ecofan very cheap years ago when I was building boats, both stove and fan are great , stove will be going none stop for a few months when the weather turns.

middle of winter, walking round in me pants and vest windows and doors wide open. all from free wood.

Whatever you eventually decide on, go for fuel efficiency over initial cost. As during its lifetime, it's the fuel which may be the most expensive part of ownership. Currently, the most efficient wood/multi fuel stoves produce useable heat from around 90% of the fuel. Some of the cheap stoves, (£260) only convert around 35% of the fuel to useable heat.

Definitely worth the money. It gives a much more even heat distribution around the room and helps it go out the door and up the stairs. The only place ours doesn't work is on the boiler stove because the heat goes more into the water jacket around the stove and so the top of the stove doesn't get hot enough to work the fan.
