What do you charge to hire processor.

That is strong money in our area there is quite a lot doing it so it drives the price down.

we recently hired a Tajfun 400 for £300 per day self operated. Good machine put 25 ton through it in a day well worth the money.

Jim can you post me out a couple of lifting wedges if i pay over the phone first what purpose to they serve?

They fit on top of the normal bar, because it has quite a large sprocket to drive the chain on the saw motor if it wasnt on there would be a gap between the chain and the top of the bar.

They usually last for ages (atleast a year) but I have bent one before now doing something silly with bent timber! Probably worth having a spare just in case.

 

I was out last weekend for £180 for the processor, +me, +tractor

Jim the drive sprocket on mine can move along the pin its situated on so when you take the chain off it just pulls off nothing to lock it in place. Is this right.

Hi, yes thats right. When the chain is on and tensioned that holds it in place.

same as my machine. 25t is some going. did u have a crane feeding it?

yeh im not the cheapest, but then i dont want to be. i need £100 operator, £100 processor and £100 for tractor. Doesnt leave much left over to cover anything else! And i wouldnt let processor out on it owns.

Ben. How much (processor friendly) round timber would you expect to process in eight hours?

 

I know there are many things to take into account. I'd just like a rough idea.
