shorts and chainsaw

well today saw it all local volunteers helping to keep churchyard tidy. was given a chainsaw to use with a 20 inch bar on. shorts trainers and safety glasses. saw was blunt wanted to say something but next door on a job mind boggles. was making such hard work of what would have taken 1/2 hour with someone who knew how to use a saw a sharp one and the proper ppe:confused1:

Would wearing 'proper ppe' make him work faster :confused:

That thought crossed my mind as well when I read it.

I think the issue here though is inexperienced people using chainsaws but until laws change that's not going to stop.

99% of the time i wear all the gear but my dad doesn't and after 50 years of using a chainsaw on a daily basis he still has all his limbs.

Although I am surprised that he gets any chainsawing done due to the amount of times he has to stop to take a piss nowadays.
