mixed feelings about mink

now at 50 years old and lived in same place never moved etc seen something i never seen ever and that was 2 mink one behind the other walking across the road over a roadbridge i had to slow to let them both cross to get back down the footpath down to the canal

 

i was unsure what they were being a towny but looked them up tonight on google they were in stunning condition jet black and as long as a cat are they a good thing or bad as i like nature and such and when it comes to mink no nothing but shocked too find there mink never in my life have i seen mink in the wild here up north or even knew they were here where i live etc

Again, the minks bad name can be put down to animal activists releasing them from mink farms.

 

I remember when they were released from a farm near me, there were four in my back garden a couple of days later and it took at least a decade for the local wildlife to recover.

 

The mink ( in unnatural numbers) wiped out everything

 

Way to go animal rights, 20 years on and we are still having mink problems

Have to agree. Saw mink in the river in Hebden bridge taking ducklings. Did wonders for the population of everything along the Calder
