What's frustrating LA cannot afford to give there staff / Workers a pay increase but they happily waste money like this.

Clearly firing the moron who signed that deal would be cost-neutral, or possibly even cost-positive...

 

But I'd investigate them for possible fraud (i.e., backhanders), too. If identified and proven, end of contract, hello refund.

Probably nearer the mark to suggest mistaking a weekly rate for a monthly rate.

Which wouls sound a "fair" price.

Though perhaps most such Council cock-ups are down to sheer incompetence.

Like buying kitted out trailers plated at 3500kg and probably weighing a tad more, before finding out the van fleet was only legal to tow 2000kg

This definitely isn't a wind up its 100% genuine. And as much as I'd love to name and shame..... I can't! As Matty can confirm saying anything about this company or employees is a sackable offence as my brother found out!

it could be a private company on contract to the Local authority but eitherway its still tax payers money if the contract to cut is council...
