"Cleaned after use" never heard of that:001_smile: (genuinely)

Pop the muffs off, quick jet wash inside & out, dunk in non bleaching anti-bac, quick wipe and spray for the muffs, then dry & store.

Like I said, nowt to do with real world tree work, apart from the colour!

I don't just work in trees. The lids concerned are for paying clients doing a bit of manual on charitable building/refurb events. They pay my wages, least I can do is make sure their kit doesn't smell like the back end of a donkey.

when the ear deffs break, or the visor falls off and cant be refitted, the main shell in reality will last easily for 10 years, if a limb of object is big enough to split the shell, its going to do a lot more damage to you than that!

I replace mine every 18 months to 2 years, by the time the ear defenders are getting a bit tatty I reckon it's had plenty of UV, small knocks etc - I'd rather be certain my head is relatively safe, it's a small price to pay IMO

Also, I reckon having a new(ish) helmet looks a bit more professional :001_smile:

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
