Unfortunately for you, in the UK anyway, sandals and socks always given the impression of a man who has given up on life. To complete this image you could always wear a onesy (over Kevlar of course)

It's not actually the specific wearing of 'S&S' that I enjoy the most - rather the whole idea of suiting yourself and not giving a toss about what unconnected others might think.

It's beyond fashion - it's freedom!

How about dealer boot (with socks) and shorts?? a combo I have worn often, but never accompanied by my lass.

Me too, only thing is it make you look like a builder

I'd say sandals were wrong whether with or without socks, but I've never tried them so can't really pass judgement on those that choose to :001_tongue:

From the end of spring, my shoe wardrobe meter morphs from chainsaw boot, worn every day and to the pub to Sandals and black ankle socks, they have even been nicknamed my snake catches as on all the photos my kids take of grass snakes which I have found , they appear on the photos next to the snake, I even go fishing in them, they feel great , don't like to go commando in them as I feel a bit naked.:thumbup1: so best worn with socks in my opinion .
