just a reminder folks....dont underestimate the power of networking for getting work. im not a huge facebook fan, mostly because i dont have the time, what with running this site. i've been using it more and more recently however and have got 3 jobs from it in the past month alone.....free advertising is worth a lot!

It got far too invasive for me with huge amounts of emails inviting this that and the other. Got sick of birds I knew at school finding me, even from australia :001_tongue:

I know what you mean, and i also know others who are fed up with that too!

Sounds interesting steve, is it actually free, and how do people find you?

Sorry, not really up on all the interweb stuff!

its a socail networking site...so masically you will add people you know through searching for them by name......then you can view their friends for people you know etc...and on it goes.

as dean pointed out, there are people try to add you who you might now want on your list but doesnt mean you have to accept their request.

I've been using Facebook for a while now (as some of you may know!).

I've got a 'Friends-of' page for the tree team and this has worked well, not so much in getting extra work (I'm L/A) but in informing my employers what we actual do! You do need to keep it up to date though because if you don’t, people will lose interest.

If I did do a lot of private work and my customers were particularly happy with what I’ve done, I'd ask them to join my 'Friends' group. I'm sure you'd get plenty of work that way! :001_smile:
