New Stein cube

So what is the latest on Cube technology?

I've had my Stein cube for less than a year, I don't use it every day and the rods have worn through at the corners. This represents poor value for money IMO.

Any thoughts??

We've had exactly the same issue almost from day one.

The second one was not so bad

How is this Stein any different from the last (other than the pink)

Mine has the rubber boots on the rod ends. Cheap thin material on the corners.

Not tough enough for the purpose.

I admit I think mine feels a bit flimsy, but, no disrespect to fletcher Stewart, I do feel that a lot of the the stein stuff is at the budget end of the market, notwithstanding Reg's inventions which I've not heard a bad word about....

Agree with that. 3 of the boots came through within 2 weeks of buying it.

My other cube made by the other co lasted me around 5 years before I had to get another. The price swung my decision to the stein cube.

My Stein cube has lasted surprisingly well, but I will replace it with a Faltheimer when the time comes.

They are bloody pricey though!

Twice the price to last five times longer is good value for money I think.

Having said that, £25 for something that serves me well for a year isn't bad I suppose.

Local barmaid serves me all year long, costs me a heck of a lot more than £25.

I TAKE IT ALL BACK STEIN.
