Worth getting into debt??

Defo keep at the job uve got for now.

I went from the military to m&s (which i really didnt like) aswell as college and had a newborn all within two weeks. I worked extra shifts at work and my own little hedge jobs etc. it was hard but i kept with it for just over 18months before i secured a full time position as a climber.

Now I've also thought of going down the same route as you but to set up by myself. Though its tempting, I've still got a monthly wage coming in to provide for my family and can still do other jobs when I'm free to save and build up my kit and for a vehicle. It will take longer but i wouldn't risk my family for anything.

Keep going, save hard and your'll get there soon enough.

Make a goal, like this time next year you'd have saved for the course👍

All the best

Dan

Based in northern ireland! But thanks for the thought! Yea mark thats what i plan to do! Just hard to pay the bills and save on my current wage! Going to try for some funding, if not looks like a long haul scrimping and saving what i can until i have enough for tickets!

Yes keep the job you got now but seeing as you have the means to repay the debt (even if it is soul destroying) I would take the loan and crack on with the tickets at least that way you have more of a chance of getting an Arb job- it may take a while but that doesn't matter just keep cracking on with your current job and then by the time you get a tree job you will have paid some of the loan off.

Have you searched online for grants? Lantra have funds for training, also search for charitable trusts, many have money they give to young people to help with training, some money is free and others give interest free loans, to be paid back after you do the training and are earning.
