I always find this faux horror at other people's work a bit of a yawn.

There's one on here recently where someone posted some pics of a tree he quoted for and had been "butchered" by some awful Arb criminal The guy who did it came on and gave the valid reasons why he had done it (previous pollard points, client spec, location etc)

Made the OP look a bit daft.

Our tree officer is quite strict with what he allows people to do, however he is realistic! Years ago we crown lifted a row of chestnuts as the customer complained that the bin wagon kept catching them and breaking bits off! We did the work and then got a call from the tree officer, he said he was happy with the work done and would not take it any further, however if you had started crown reducing etc he would have been. The council if nothing else should be contacting them and giving the company a talking to.
