Felling & Clearing Sites

We have a few brownfield sites for a client where they want to clear the sites. Removing any trees and vegetation!

There are no TPO's and they are not within a conservation area, is there anything to stop them doing this ! It just doesn't seem right !

Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

You may well upset your client, but the only option is to alert the local tree officer. The ball is then in his/her court as to whether it is expedient in the interests of public amenity to serve a TPO, which would obviously give them protection from felling. It's a nasty situation many find themselves in, whether as a tree surgeon asked to quote or as consultant asked if there is anything to stop them. Do what you feel is right but be aware if 2 + 2 is put together you may be blamed. Are the trees worth it? Is the client worth it? People employing these tactics may well be unpleasant to work for...

What's not right?

You are a tree cutter, he is a man with trees to cut, assuming he has some money, it doesn't get any more right than that:thumbup1:
