granberg 12v precision grinder

hello all

just ordered one of the above and i notice it has crocodile clips for attaching to a car battery for power..

was wondering...................

could i just cut of the crocodile clips and fit a car style cigarette socket to it, so i can just plug in the ciggy lighter in my van.. ?

also if i did fit that is there any reason something like this 240v mains to 12v DC cigarette lighter socket charger adapter 7A (84W) | eBay would not work from 240v while in the garage?

how many amps and watts does it state on the grinder mate?

Out of interest, have you had a look at the cordless dremell, i have one and theyre a handy piece of kit. Or wouldnt it suit your needs.

You can fit a lighter plug without any issues.

 

And that power supply would be fine.

Cordless dremels are good bits of kit, but they don't do the precision adjustment of tooth length/hook/angle that the Granberg grinder does.

 

The grinder will run perfectly well off the cigarette socket - it only draws a couple of amps.
