not put anything on this thread for a while so i thought i'd list a couple of jobs i've done this year.

this thing is the drum for an "apple scratter" which to anyone who doesn't know is basically an apple pulveriser and will have screws sticking out of it when it's fitted to the machine. i made it for this gent, http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/members/arthurbottlesworth.html

it's made up of three 3" thick sections which were themselves two 6"x3"x12". the whole thing ended up at 12" diameter and 9" across the axis and required a 1" hole down the axis for the shaft. given a good coat of beeswax seeing as it's going to be used for food.

i've just finished two sets of skittles for a museum in sweden Snus- och tändsticksmuseum ? Snus- och Tändsticksmuseum finns på Skansen i Stockholm! not sure if they are for show or are to be used but either way it's my first international sale.

they are made from a hardwood called Garapa Garapa | The Wood Database - Lumber Identification (Hardwoods) rather than the traditional lignum and measure 7 1/8" in diameter and weigh between 2.7kg and 3kg.
