Great to see your work.

How do you turn perfect balls?

Also were did you get the stamp made? Something i have been thinking about for all the benches and sculptures I make.

the balls are turned on a jig which you can see in operation on this video.

 

the stamp you are referring to is not a stamp as such but a disc of birch ply with my website lasered on to it. i recess it into the end of one of my pins just so if a visiting team like what they see they know who to call. it's sealed in with 1-2mm of super glue which i just pool on top of it and let it set.

 

i can put you in touch with the guy who made them for me if you like.

That is an excellent jig! Don't think the laser cut things will suit me as it's often outdoor, maybe I need a brand or something, just no idea where to get something like that

I had similar disks made after seeing Steve's, the image was of a prototype hence the typo. They are very reasonable, make your work very professional and can be easily made weather proof with a layer of epoxy, recommended to all.
