Well i've just had a phonecall and it turns out there's at least 100 trees to look at and they think most need something doing to them, the problem is the jobs not local to me, so it means i'm gonna have to probably do a few visits with the lads to get the work done..........if all goes well though should be a nice little earner......................and will no doubt lead to further work throughout the estate fingers crossed.

I can lift a 2 ton butt, I just have to spend a little time cutting it into pieces, like a proper man:001_tongue:

just a thought...

 

..about 18months ago we deadwooded about 40 pines and cedars for some rich dude in wales, the firm we were subbied to hired in a 70ft boom lift mewp, I don't know much about mewps but it was on four wheels, was counter weighted and you could drive it at full extension/reach...all the trees were just about within reach of the driveway..(loooong drive)..and with a mewp operator and 3 climbers we were boomed into the the trees 1 after the other, roped in and just abseiled down removing the deadwood...made a big job ridiculously easy and enjoyable..could be the way to go if you can get the right piece of kit.

Large MEWP for the bad stuff, plus you can always utilise it for putting your climbers into the trees better suited to climb. Faster and more efficient
